Jawor / Poland
timeline:
2017 – 2021
In mid-2017, the construction of Daimler’s engine factory in Jawor began, the largest greenfield investment in Lower Silesia at the time. On more than 160 hectares under roof, engines and batteries for Mercedes cars will be produced. Due to its size, the undertaking was divided into packages carried out by general contractors.
After a six-month period of tendering and negotiating, we began the design work on steel structure section for the first package of works – the so-called RM Building. Our professionalism, capacity and good service quality were quickly acknowledged. As a result, over the following years we worked on all subsequent phases of the project, designing more than 15,000 tons of steel structures, providing a number of expert opinions and advising on modifications of assumptions, changes to installations and process lines. Participants in the construction process recommended our services to each other, and we were chosen to carry out the structural design for the second, largest stage by the Investor himself!
We worked for most of the contractors active on the task: General contractors – Strabag, Eiffage, Warbud, Takenaka, steel structure manufacturers – KSH Steel, POM, Installation companies: TKT, Stangl, Keller Lufttechnik and others.
We are sincerely grateful for the reposed trust!

We visited the construction site several times with the whole engineering team, pictured visiting the construction of the battery production hall in 2019.
